Save Your Access to Compounded Bioidentical Hormones

If you are taking compounded bioidentical hormones for your symptoms of hormone decline and imbalance, then you know first-hand how important they are for good health. Hormonal decline is a common cause of fatigue, poor sleep, weight gain, depressed moods, migraines, low libido, and anxiety, to name only a few.

Bioidentical hormones are hormones that are molecularly identical to the hormones created by your own body. They help restore your body back into balance so that you can be healthy and feel your best.

Counterfeit hormones such as Premarin, for instance, are not identical to the hormones made by your body. Premarin, which is derived from pregnant mare urine, contains numerous horse estrogens that are not found in humans. Birth control pills contain progestin, which is very different from progesterone. Provera contains medroxyprogesterone, again, not progesterone. Counterfeit hormones have been shown to have numerous negative side effects, including increased risk of blood clots, stroke and heart disease, as well as breast and endometrial cancer.

Benefits of Bioidentical Hormones

We are all born with hormones. Hormones are chemical messengers that regulate the functions of our body. Without them, we could not survive. And when our hormone levels decline, we experience undesirable health symptoms. Young girls in their teens often experience hormonal imbalance when they reach puberty and have irregular and painful PMS and menstrual symptoms. Women experience hormonal changes in midlife, after childbirth, after a hysterectomy or tubal ligation, and while taking birth control pills or counterfeit estrogen hormones. Men in midlife start gaining that “spare tire” around their waist, become tired and irritable, and lose their muscle mass, strength, ambition and drive.

Protect Your Rights to Use Compounded Bioidentical Hormones

Did you know that your access to compounded bioidentical hormones is being threatened by the FDA again? Here is what has happened recently:

In 2020, the National Academies of Science, Medicine, and Engineering (NASEM) published a report  on compounded hormones, commissioned by the FDA, which is filled with bias and lack of scientific evidence. Yet, the FDA says it will base future policy on compounded hormones in part on the NASEM recommendations, which if implemented by the FDA, would severely restrict, or even eliminate entirely, your access to compounded hormones.
