DRUG:

DHEA, Dehydroepiandrosterone

USE:

DHEA is used for natural hormone replacement therapy.  DHEA is a precursor to the androgens, testosterone, and the estrogens.  DHEA is important to protein building and repair.  DHEA is primarily made in the adrenal glands and declines dramatically as we age, making it a primary biomarker of aging. DHEA may be of value in preventing and treating cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, immune system disorders, and chronic fatigue.

DIRECTIONS:

 Take capsule with a full glass of water. Sublingual tablet should be placed under the tongue and allowed a few minutes to dissolve. Follow the directions on your prescription.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

Common side effects caused by high doses of DHEA include acne, menstrual irregularities, irritability,  restlessness, and hair loss.

MISSED DOSAGE:

If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; but not within 6 hours of your next dose, then resume your normal dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose.

STORAGE:

 Upon receipt, store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit away from sunlight and moisture.

DESCRIPTION:

Compounded in blue/clear or clear capsule, topical cream in a Topi Click device with white cap, Topi Click Perl with applicator for vaginal creams, or white round-shaped sublingual tablet.

DISPOSAL OF UNUSED MEDICATION:

Do not flush unused medication or pour down sink or drain.
