DRUG:

Depo-Testosterone. Chemical Name: Testosterone Cypionate

USE:

This medicine is an androgen hormone used in men to provide testosterone when the body cannot produce enough or in women to treat certain cancers. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

BEFORE USING:

Some medicine or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. Inform your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Additional monitoring of your dose or condition may be needed if you are taking carbamazepine. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Use of this medicine is not recommended if you have a history of breast or prostate cancer. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking this medicine.

DIRECTIONS:

Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. This medicine may be administered as an injection at your doctor’s office, hospital, or a clinic. This medicine is sometimes used at home as an injection. If you are using this medicine at home, a health care professional will provide detailed instructions for its appropriate use. Ask any questions that you may have about this medicine or about giving injections. SHAKE WELL before using. Store this medicine at room temperature. If you miss a dose of this medicine, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do NOT use 2 doses at once.

CAUTIONS:

Do not exceed the recommended dose or take this medicine for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor. Keep all doctor and laboratory appointments while you are using this medicine. Before you have any medical or dental treatments, emergency care, or surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using this medicine. Before you begin taking any new medicine, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant. If you suspect that you could be pregnant, contact your doctor immediately. It is unknown if this medicine is excreted in breast milk. Do not breast-feed while taking this medicine. If you have diabetes, this medicine may affect your blood sugar. Check your blood sugar level closely and ask your doctor before adjusting the dose of your diabetes medicine.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

Side effects, that may go away during treatment, include acne, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. Check with your doctor as soon as possible if you experience pain, redness, or swelling at injection site; yellowing of skin or eyes; dark urine; change in emotions or behavior; (men) frequent or prolonged penis erections or enlarged breasts; (women) deepening voice, change in menstrual periods, increase in facial hair, or hair loss. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects.

DRUG INTERACTIONS:

Drug interactions can result in unwanted side effects or prevent a medicine from doing its job.  Inform your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Keep this product out of the reach of children. Dispose of properly after use.  Testosterone Cypionate has a tendency to crystallize.  Should this happen, place vial in a container of hot water, shaking occasionally, until the crystals dissolve.
